don...i wanted to do a whole group polling but i could not..i can go into each section and do one but that would not be what i want in order to achive a total group responce.. as this polling subject does not fit any one grouping..but as a whole it will....id be more than glad to tell you what it is

So basically you want to start a poll which will be visible in all forums??
technically with invision board this is, for what I know, not possible.

There are systems which act more "portal like" where global polls are possible...

Besides it would really depend on the subject whether it would be a "good idea" to make a global poll or not...

first off thank you for your many replys to my posts...

i wanted to do a poll on how many still have there first knife they made...

that kind of poll fits in nowhere...see my point

there must be a way to do or set some kind of poling area that all can see and use rather than a seperate polling area in each segment y'all have going..personaly i think it be better with just one polling area no conected with any section..i think you would gain much more polling input...imho

A poll... well I see no reason why this should not fit into "the way" for me that's the perfect place... go ahead and post it there.

hmm I have not seen many polls on this board so far, actually hardly a few at all.
to make something as you think, it would take some work... I won't say that it is completly impossible but it involves major changes and I'm not yet "convinced" that polls will be a tool which sees much use here... I mean it can be simply asked.. besides what is there to "elect" anyways?

Humble opinion, I don't think it's actually necessary.

I have seen what indiscriminate use of polls do in other forums and it just clutters the boards with stuff which isn't really contributing in any way to pass around informationg or knowledge.

Of course it's my opinion only.

i have not seen polls do that..the polls are something that one clicks on to use and can and do not clutter...its like you not answering a post..you do or you don't..your choice
there are tons of posts i don't reply to .

Now if that does not exactly sound as the perfect place to ask such a thing?


Polls will be possible within each separate forum but I will not, for different reasons, set up global polling, and that's the end to this.


I view this matter as closed and so I have closed this topic.
