No. 211 File Knife

Hi guys, another file knife is done :) This one started as a dagger but kept morphing untill this came out. As always, Nicholson file was used, overall length is 6.125" with a 2.5" blade. Stand is a piece of driftwood with a file "cross". Hope you guys like it:)

that is awesome. i love the file texture on the ridgeline. you nailed a really tricky grind there, and it walks a fine line between brutal and elegant. nice,

lol Jake, the grind originally was supposed to start 3/4" closer to the tip of the blade, grinding a recurve turns out to be a big headache. I have some major respect for anyone doing recurves!

Very cool. I like the raised point a lot. Looks a bit "shark" like. Been watching the Discovery channel? LOL.

So, did you come across a huge cache of old files, or are you buying new ones for these blades?

Thanks Dave. Theres this old guy at the flea market who sells old tools, well he has a pile of files, probably several thousand that I picked through and bought all the Nicholsons he had. I still have around 80-100 files left :)
